I study health. How to take people from wherever they are to a better state. I spend time at conferences, classes, and wellness centers with doctors, chiropractors, naturopaths, and other health practitioners. Educating myself daily about mental and physical health, counseling, and the latest in science.
I see people with a variety of issues in a variety of situations. Often people come to discuss depression, anxiety, and negative patterns. Increasingly people come to me with specific health issues, seeking alternative treatments, or training in natural living. Recently I have blended these skills to work with people directly on their life path – to help them live the life they believe in.
Naturopathic: Be open to sharing your story with me. Expect to answer many questions. Allow me to observe your tongue, eyes, pulse, and hands. Be open to suggestions. Take notes and receive my recommendations. My hope is that you are willing to do something about your health.
Coaching: Be open to sharing the story that you have followed and the one you want to live (don’t worry I can help discover that). Work with me to develop a vision and a plan. Be willing to attend to your own sense of empowerment and self love.

From the time I was in grade school I went to hospitals and doctors for various things. I saw the way that medicine was practiced, and it didn’t make any sense to me. It was sterile and impersonal, rushed and formulaic, while focused on symptoms rather than causes.
Health-care seemed focused on illness instead of health.
I was born and raised in Grand Rapids Michigan. I love the people here, and the size of the city, but the weather is not ideal. I’ve lived in Olympia Washington, and Boulder Colorado, as well as spending months at a time on the road. But, I am based back in Michigan for the time being.
I knew I wanted to be a doctor (a different kind of doctor) at a young age, but the right path didn’t present itself. Spending my first three semesters pre-med at Grand Valley State University what I was learning didn’t feel right (much like when I was a child it seemed soul-less). My goal then became following my hopes of making it big in the tea industry in order to pay for a holistic medical degree. While running the tea business for over ten years I earned a BFA in Digital Multi-media Design from Kendall College of Art & Design. In 2013, after twenty years of putting off my most passionate dream, I shut down my business and enrolled at the Naturopathic Institute.
For the past few years I have interned at various offices including a Chiropractor and a Medical Doctor, taken dozens of courses from various practitioners, and found mentors to direct and inspire me. Right now my education consists of studying health and wellness everyday, expanding my personal health, and helping people with their challenges in and out of the office.
I’ve always been active curious and creative. I’m a type 4 on the Enneagram (often called the individualist or romantic type). I crave independence, but I also want to be close to people and share deeply with them. I am a global thinker but I feel strongly into small places. I’m passionate about justice and truth. Lack of health felt like an injustice to me as a child and it still motivates me. Lack of health is lack of life…
Healing is my calling. I set a portion of my life aside to serve others by helping them get from where they are to where they want to be. Always holding to the knowledge that everyone has wisdom to teach and learn from everyone else. My career was long thought out and fought for.
Now I am doing what I love, what challenges me to be my best, and what I feel I am meant to do.
